DJX is consistent with a quote from Victor Papaneck in "Design for the Real World," where design fundamentally is the construction of a "real relationship between people and the ideal world."

Beijing Shuiju, located along the Tonghui River, breaks the overly neat spatial layout with a diagonal that weakens the concept of entrance by creating a fractured "canyon" through a central landscaped staircase. Reflective metallic materials blur the dynamic visual definition of boundaries, intending for people to discover another world amidst the intermittent images.

Tangquan District is essentially a realistic depiction of this "canyon" — indoor hot springs resembling a hidden "blue hole," ceiling designs reminiscent of stalactites in caves but abstracted geometrically, housing warm lighting; outdoor hot springs offer views of the deep blue sky along the "cliff" of the building facade, dramatically opening up the spatial atmosphere. Together with granite water channels and bubbling hot water single bathtubs, it couldn't be more beautiful.

The spaces on either side naturally divided by the landscaped staircase are the main activity areas. They grow outward like urban blocks surrounding the main "square" of the city center, with circulation paths between functions flowing like endless "streets." Among these, the most enticing is the "tree-hole" corridor located between the restaurant and water bar, existing under the guise of a "children's playground." Geometrically simplified, the tree-hole-like corridor is strongly formal and rich in layers, providing multiple unique perspectives; many people have captured magazine-worthy photos here!

Continuing from here, one can see other frequently featured designed spaces of diagonal design:

The tatami entertainment area behind the trend culture symbol KAWS has a highly diverse ceiling design, resembling tree holes and caves, with reclining sofas arranged in varying heights and openness, ideal for solitary rest or gaming. Different materials and semi-open, semi-private partitions with organic forms break the monotony of cubicles.

Behind the tatami entertainment area, there's a hidden gem on the second floor — a 360-degree surround circular library similar to a "mini circular book pavilion," with double-layer circular bookshelves and vertical grid enclosures creating a relatively independent quiet space; pinpoint light sources make it possible for true reading amid photography. Ascending through the archway, there's even a hidden "natural corner" on the third floor.

The rooftop tea room, unlike typical exaggerated visual forms, is tranquil yet distinctive — continuous green bricks and grey tiles are now scarce resources in Beijing, making the rooftop terrace with excellent views the best "scenic spot." Moreover, the tiled roofs are adorned with finely textured triangular attic tea rooms, even the ridge beasts visible. Warm solid wood with beige interiors creates a cozy Japanese-style atmosphere.

From Hangzhou's Qushui Lanting to Nanyang's Yuejie Hotel, and now to Beijing and Shanghai's Shuiju Tangquan, Wang Bing, with a professional design background and an open understanding of "internet-famous" aesthetics, has redefined long-standing lifestyles. Through conceptual spatial reconstruction, he has endowed them with new vitality and spirit, creating quality public living spaces loved and shared by urban youth one after another.
