就像西班牙建筑师Ricardo Bofill早期实践了一种以理想主义为特征的加泰罗尼亚现代建筑,建筑师最重要的就是其愿景。

 

Just like the early practice of Catalan modern architecture characterized by idealism by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, the most important aspect for an architect is their vision.

 

这座小岛风光旖旎,地势高低起伏。山脉自北向南连绵不绝,湖光山色引人入胜,山林泉水胜似隐居。岛主“乐林泉兮餐野栗,宿孤岛兮友鹿麋”,也想邀请朋友来“饮甘泉以漱齿,啖松柏以延年。歌之鼓掌,舞罢眠云。”于是邀请王兵来为这片净土设计一组民宿和餐厅建筑。

 

This small island boasts picturesque scenery with its undulating terrain. Mountains stretch continuously from north to south, creating a captivating landscape of lakes and mountains, with forests and springs offering a serene retreat. The island owner enjoys the tranquility, saying, "I relish the forest springs and feast on wild chestnuts, reside on the solitary island and befriend deer and elk." He also wishes to invite friends to "drink the sweet spring water to rinse their teeth, eat pine and cypress to prolong life. After singing and applauding, they rest under the clouds." Thus, he invited Wang Bing to design a group of guesthouses and restaurant buildings for this pure land.

 

对纯几何图形的狂热兴趣、对均衡与对称的极致追求以及对自然生活的真诚向往,造就了建筑师王兵这组诗意而严谨的建筑。王兵希望人们远离喧嚣烦扰的外部世界,在这片白色“城堡”中自由探索,获得高品质的简单生活。

 

An intense interest in pure geometric shapes, an extreme pursuit of balance and symmetry, and a sincere longing for a natural life led architect Wang Bing to create this poetic and meticulous group of buildings. Wang Bing hopes that people can escape the noisy and troubled external world, freely explore in this white "castle," and achieve a high-quality, simple life.

万物和谐

Balanced and Harmonious

“城堡”建筑群的布局体现了构成主义美学。作为偏爱后现代艺术的建筑师,王兵在空间元素的几何组织方面构思良久。王兵使用湖心岛的十字中轴线来定位建筑群主体方位,将主要建筑物部署在由北向南延伸的中轴线上,东西方向体量均衡,在整体布局上最大限度地突出“环岛游”理念。

 

The layout of the "castle" complex reflects Constructivist aesthetics. As an architect who favors postmodern art, Wang Bing has carefully considered the geometric organization of spatial elements. Using the cross-axis of the lake island to position the main buildings, he deployed the main structures along a north-south axis, balancing the volumes east and west, and maximized the "island tour" concept in the overall layout.

 

其中,“山石苑”民宿建筑的平面在基本轴线和几何分割的基础上,再细致地进行动态的组合,从而位这组建筑增添了新鲜有效的形式。不同墙体高度和宽度、开口和长廊的具体尺度,以及概念性和装饰性几何构造的比例和模数关系都经过精心组织——建筑任意剖面都可以作为一张抽象画。

 

When discussing deep time, thoughts of Scandinavian glaciers, rocks, volcanoes, and sea beds often come to mind. Deep time, transcending human metrics, extends into both the past and the future. Visions of “future ruins” are consistently accompanied by collapsed boulders in caves, untouched rough textures, and mysterious dim light.

 

民宿主步道两侧高高的墙体几乎对称,细腻的水平割线为这严谨的“协奏曲”带来趣味和装饰;楼梯与内庭院中相互穿插的结构,非常考验建筑师的比例把控与韵律审美,为几何体的内部填充了丰富的细节;楼梯尽头的空门框更是充满了象征意义。

 

The tall walls on both sides of the main walkway of the guesthouse are almost symmetrical, with delicate horizontal lines adding interest and decoration to this rigorous "concerto"; the interweaving structures of the staircase and inner courtyard test the architect's control of proportions and rhythmic aesthetics, filling the geometric body with rich details; the empty door frame at the end of the staircase is full of symbolic meaning.

 

此外,在设计的过程中,王兵也充分考虑了阳光与墙体的关系。他强化了民宿与餐厅建筑外立面的完整体块感,并选择采用反射一切的白色,来映衬大自然的四季和朝暮变化,创造出中性、纯粹的空间体验。在诗意起伏的建筑内部,不同立面相互叠落在彼此身上的影子,则是其中的点睛之笔。

 

Additionally, Wang Bing fully considered the relationship between sunlight and walls in the design process. He reinforced the complete block sense of the guesthouse and restaurant facades and chose reflective white to echo the changes of nature's seasons and times of day, creating a neutral and pure spatial experience. The overlapping shadows of different facades in the poetic and undulating interior are the finishing touch.

方圆相济,人生几何

Square and Round in Harmony

在中国传统文化中,“方”代表规矩、稳固、安定,“圆”代表通融、灵活、动态,“方圆相济,人生自在方圆中”。建筑师王兵在建筑群中借用了这经典的方圆智慧,同时打破了西方传统“方盒子”的局限性,给予了空间更多层次变化,以及些许东方禅意。

 

In traditional Chinese culture, the "square" represents rules, stability, and firmness, while the "round" represents flexibility, fluidity, and dynamics. "Square and round in harmony, life is at ease in the combination of square and round." Architect Wang Bing borrowed this classic wisdom in the building complex while breaking the limitations of the traditional Western "square box," giving the space more layers and changes, along with a touch of Eastern Zen.

 

从视觉符号来说,王兵巧妙地在民宿和餐厅的内庭院都运用了“圆”这一母题。圆形在层层叠叠的竖直墙面之间若隐若现,和庭院中铺满细石子的寂静院落构成带有枯山水意味的空间。圆形窗弦内的一木一石,照应着圆形窗弦外的森林与山石,况味深远。

 

Visually, Wang Bing cleverly used the "round" motif in the inner courtyards of the guesthouse and restaurant. The round shapes subtly appear between the layered vertical walls and the quiet courtyard paved with fine pebbles, creating a space with the essence of a dry landscape garden. A piece of wood and stone within the round window frame echo the forest and rocks outside the round window, offering a deep and profound taste.

 

在民宿中,“圆”引入了景观元素,为雅净的建筑空间添加了一份勃勃生机。无论是透过圆形镂空看建筑体量还是特地为此植种的树木,圆都成为独特的框景工具;此外圆洞在方形墙面上投下的阴影随着光线变动,也探索了方正几何空间中的温柔边界。

 

In the guesthouse, the "round" introduces landscape elements, adding a lively vigor to the elegant architectural space. Whether viewing the building volumes through circular openings or the specially planted trees, the circle becomes a unique framing tool; additionally, the shadows cast by the round holes on the square walls explore the gentle boundaries within the geometric space as the light changes.

 

 

而临水餐厅的圆形窗洞,则能够似一面镜子般旋转。王兵的这个设计既可以把餐厅内的生活区与半室外的柱廊环境分隔开来,又可以为设计增添一种奇异的触感和视觉效果。此外,餐厅的室内入口也置入了圆形元素,与吧台融为一体,使得室内外的形式更加和谐统一。

 

The circular windows in the waterside restaurant can rotate like a mirror. Wang Bing's design not only separates the living area inside the restaurant from the semi-outdoor colonnade environment but also adds a strange touch and visual effect to the design. Moreover, the circular elements at the indoor entrance of the restaurant blend with the bar, making the indoor and outdoor forms more harmonious and unified.

Near Water, Distant Mountains

Four Seasons from Morning to Evening

在设计这组建筑时,王兵充分利用了“近水远山”的景观资源。在民宿建筑中,他把观景面分散给予主要功能区及客房。难得的是,14间客房全部是面向湖面的景观房。此外,“历经迷宫”最终到达的屋顶露台也可以无遮挡地远眺湖心岛全景——湖水、森林、远山,获得丰富的景观层次。

 

In designing this group of buildings, Wang Bing fully utilized the landscape resources of "near water, distant mountains." In the guesthouse buildings, he distributed the scenic views among the main functional areas and guest rooms. Remarkably, all 14 guest rooms are lake-facing scenic rooms. Additionally, the rooftop terrace, reached through a "labyrinth," offers an unobstructed panoramic view of the lake's heart island—lake, forest, and distant mountains—providing a rich landscape layering.

 

而那些抽象画般的剖面设计,则为这座建筑带来了最生动的元素——它最大程度地引入了自然景观和自然光线:无论春夏秋冬,各色各调的植物山丘都会涌入建筑立面的缝隙;无论晨昏午夜,变幻缓移的光线都会在这组空白画卷上留下浓淡不一、色彩微妙的笔触。

The abstract painting-like cross-sectional design brings the most vivid elements to this building, introducing natural landscapes and natural light to the fullest extent: whether in spring, summer, autumn, or winter, the colorful hills of plants will flood into the building's facade gaps; whether at dawn, dusk, or midnight, the changing and shifting light will leave varying shades and subtle colors on this blank canvas.

 

 

民宿室内设计沿用了室外建筑手法,展现主背景墙与前面固定家具的立面关系。整体空间色调清淡、风格简约,最大程度突出室外景观的存在感。房间局部使用浅灰色木材,与整个湖心岛的基底色调相得益彰。此外,每间独立套房都配有室外阳台,让客人可以尽情独赏周围的山水林木。

 

The interior design of the guesthouses follows the architectural approach of the exterior, showcasing the relationship between the main background walls and the fixed furniture facades. The overall space has a light color palette and a minimalist style, emphasizing the presence of the outdoor landscape to the greatest extent. Light gray wood is used locally in the rooms, complementing the base tone of the heart island. Additionally, each suite has an outdoor balcony, allowing guests to fully enjoy the surrounding mountains, waters, and forests.

 

 

而餐厅建筑临近湖水,所以滨水的外立面采用通透玻璃幕墙,拉近人与景之间的距离;另一边的立面则只在视线以下留有水平方向的细窄窗口,最大限度将视觉中心引向滨水一侧。傍晚时分,夕阳余晖倒映在湖水和玻璃幕墙上,用晚餐的人仿佛也由此成为自然中的一部分。建筑师王兵作为“山石苑”系列建筑的缔造者,与光线、温度、肌理和结构一同工作,真正将建筑打造为湖心岛岛主的乌托邦之城。在无形中探寻有形,从瞬间中寻求永恒。

 

The restaurant building is close to the water, so the waterside facade uses transparent glass curtain walls, bringing people closer to the scenery; the facade on the other side only has narrow horizontal windows below eye level, directing the visual focus towards the waterside. In the evening, the setting sun reflects on the lake and the glass curtain wall, making diners feel as if they have become part of nature. Architect Wang Bing, as the creator of the "Mountain Stone Garden" series of buildings, works with light, temperature, texture, and structure to truly create a utopian city for the island's owner. He seeks the tangible in the intangible and the eternal in the moment.
